So let's see, I need to update this thing. The previous one had me as 23, I'm 25 now, have been for almost four months now. I am a single mom with a little boy who is 15 months (we share the same birthday ^_^). Right now he seems to enjoy putting shoes on as he's walking around in one of his own and trying to put on a slip on one of my own.

I live in North Pole, Alaska but a move back to North Carolina is in the works for the end of the semester. I spent my childhood in NC and my teenage and so far all of my adult years in Alaska. I am currently in college going for my Bachelors of English with plans to be either an English teacher or a creative writing teacher to high school kids. People say I'm crazy but that's just the level I want to teach, no idea why.

Hmm...well I suppose I should say I'm a complete dork. I love superheros (having grown up on the 90s cartoons), Star Trek (though I wouldn't say I'm of Trekkie status, not even close), anime (Sailor Moon being my favorite), Doctor Who, Dr. Horrible, Supernatural, Downton Abbey, the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice (no better Darcy than Colin Firth!). When it comes to reading I prefer teen fiction but I usually only read Tamora Pierce, though I'll read others if something really strikes me about one of their books. I also read romance and prefer Jude Deveraux and Celeste Bradley for that genre.

My favorite book is Emperor Mage by Tamora Pierce. My favorite movie...well I love so many and whatever I enjoy watching depends on my mood, but maybe Disney's Beauty and the Beast is number 1 since I can't get enough of it. Course, I just really love that theme so I'll look at/read almost any Beauty and the Beast type stuff (though I don't care for the remake of the 80s TV show, the original is a million times better in my opinion). My favorite actor is Colin Firth, favorite actress is Kat Dennings (I'd totally go lesbian for her, she's absolutely gorgeous!) My favorite animal is a bear which means yes, I do collect Teddy bears.

Well, as for what I do to contribute to Deviant Art. I'm not really sure what I have more of on my gallery. I'm more of a writer, though, than anything. I have been writing for pleasure since I was 13. It all started with Harry Potter fanfiction. I usually participate in National Novel Writing Month every November. Out of the four times I've participated I have won three times, the first time I was only 4,000 words short and that was partly because it was my first time and I didn't really have a plan. Unfortunately I've never been able to actually finish the novel. Fifty thousand words is nowhere near enough to even get me thoroughly into the middle of the story. I don't even use a lot of detail, I usually forget about it, to be honest, so all of the story is pretty much dialogue and a little bit of action (since I suck at writing action).

Other than that I have quite a few pieces of photography and some clay figures I did. Very few drawings since I don't practice enough to be any good at all.
